WICKED is a prequel to The wizard of Oz + centres on Elphaba (the so-called Wicked Witch of the West) + Gaa-linda (the ‘Good’ witch) + essentially it’s about the complexities of women’s power, how to reclaim agency in a world that misrepresents + maligns powerful women, questions how good, ‘being good’ really is + asks the question: 



What if the story we’ve been told is wrong?





If you’ve read my books Witch + Self Source-ery - you’ll know that I feel VERY strongly, TOTAL BLOODY UNDERSTATEMENT, that it’s up to US - me + you + ALL of us who are able - to question + the narratives we’ve been told + sold about what it is to be a woman, to challenge the troupes of ‘wicked’ witches + ‘good’ girls + write a NEW STORY.

I want to REALLY dive into this with you, so I’ve decided I’m going to host an impromptu
WICKED WOMEN :: A SHE SALON on Friday 13th December - OUR power day - online at 7pm GMT. 



Because there’s so much that I want to get into with you that will help us ALL to feel + heal, to reclaim + to power up. 


Discussing how being misunderstood or labelled as ‘difficult’ is often the price of staying true to yourself. 


AND…


How the trope that power in women must inherently lead to corruption or danger.


AND…


How Elphaba + Gaaa-linda’s friendship is messy, real + transformative + it’s indicative of how women CAN support/champion/love one another even when they come from VERY different places + perspectives. 



Loves, there’s a gazillion more, so let’s gather, on Friday 13th - OUR power day - because in these ‘interesting’ times, where women’s autonomy + power is still being contested/questioned/maligned in 2024, the call to reclaim the ‘villain’ + write a new story about ‘misunderstood power’ feels more necessary than ever.

WICKED WOMEN :: A SHE SALON
Inspired by the spell-binding themes of WICKED - the musical and now movie - I’ve created this 90 minute SHE Salon to dive deep (I’m a Scorpio, what do you expect?) into the stories we’ve been told about women and power, what it means to be ‘wicked’ + together we’ll be reclaiming the villain, redefining ‘good’, and defying gravity. Obvz.

FYI: This isn’t a lecture with a pretty power point. It’s heart riffs, feels, exchanging ideas + us, being in conversation about it ALL + also, you absolutely do NOT have to have seen WICKED - the musical or the movie - to join this SHE Salon. Your woman - me - is a big enough fan for us all!
